Characterizations of modalities and lex modalities

چکیده
A reflective subuniverse in homotopy type theory is an internal version of the notion a localization topology or ∞-categories. Working theory, we give new characterizations following conditions on L: (1) associated L′ L-separated types modality; (2) L (3) lex and (4) cotopological modality. In each case, several necessary sufficient conditions. Our involve various families maps to L, such as L-étale maps, L-equivalences, L-local L-connected unit ηX, their left and/or right orthogonal complements. More generally, our main theorem gives overview how all these classes related other. We also examples that show inclusions describe between can be strict.

Drooling and Various Therapeutic Modalities
ABSTRACT: Droolig or sialorrhea is a common stigmatizing problem in neurologically damaged child or adult. It is troublesome in perhaps one-third of children with cerebral palsy. Drooling occurs when there is a lack of coordinated control of facial, head and neck musculature. Various therapeutic modalities are advocated for the treatment of drooling ,such as surgical or non surgical, some of ...
متن کاملQuantiiers and Operations on Modalities and Contexts 1 Putting Modalities Together 1.1 Modalities
We can reason about theories, as well as in them. Many natural phenomena can be captured by theories, often by introducing a modality, true just of the theory. Rather than treat these phenomena as the sentences true in this modality, we can treat the entire theory or modality as an object. This point of view was proposed by McCarthy, who proposed calling these reiied modalities contexts. Contex...
متن کاملSensory modalities are not separate modalities: plasticity and interactions.
Historically, perception has been viewed as a modular function, with the different sensory modalities operating independently of each other. Recent behavioral and brain imaging studies challenge this view, by suggesting that cross-modal interactions are the rule and not the exception in perception, and that the cortical pathways previously thought to be sensory-specific are modulated by signals...
متن کاملDefeasible Modalities
Nonmonotonic logics are usually characterized by the presence of some notion of ‘conditional’ that fails monotonicity. Research on nonmonotonic logics is therefore largely concerned with the defeasibility of argument forms and the associated normality (or abnormality) of its constituents. In contrast, defeasible modes of inference aim to formalize the defeasible aspects of modal notions such as...
متن کاملBinding modalities
The standard first-order reading of modality does not bind individual variables, i.e., if x is free in F (x), then x remains free in 2F (x). Accordingly, if 2 stands for ‘provable in arithmetic,’ ∀x2F (x) states that F (n) is provable for any given value of n = 0, 1, 2, . . .; this corresponds to a de re reading of modality. The other, de dicto meaning of 2F (x), suggesting that F (x) is deriva...
